The Good
We started off with the Double Patty Smash Burger. Loaded with two, juicy and nicely charred beef patties, the burger was bursting with flavour. Combined with a nicely melted slice of Kraft cheese and their simply delectable 'special sauce', this quickly became one of my favourite beef burgers of all time.
The Fried Chicken Sandwich was no less enjoyable. The buttermilk batter provided an exceptionally crispy crunch. Nicely seasoned, the chicken protein within was thick, juicy and tender. The cabbage slaw, combined with the buttermilk dressing and hot sauce, gave the burger a refreshing and spicy twist. Delicious.
We also rather enjoyed the American Biscuit, which exhibted a nice crunchy outer. The still-warm inner was light and crumbly, with a pleasant buttery aftertaste. Flawless.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
The burgers here were pretty much flawless. The highlight though, was undoubtedly the Double Patty Smash Burger, and I will be dreaming of that for many days to come.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Most definitely. This must be one of the tastiest beef burgers I've ever come across. Fresh, juicy with exceptionally tasty flavours. What's not to love!
