- Mixed Vegetables with Pork Noodles in Soup
The Good
The noodles were simply delightful. Silly smooth, just the right chewiness vs softness and were plentiful. No wonder they are called noodle wizard.
The pork belly was also extremely tender and was evident it has been braised slowly and carefully. It was succulent and flavourful and tough bits were rare. Not surprised given that this is their #1 signature dish.
Ingredients overall in both noodles were very fresh and its apparent they didn’t skimp on quality nor quantity. Vegetables tasted wholesome and unprocessed.
The Mediocre
While the meat in the mixed bowl was fresh and tasted nice, it was definitely on the tough side.
The soup in both noodles were however a tad bland for me, but this was remedied by adding some chilli oil.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
A pretty nice restaurant for some Chinese soup noodles. I would definitely recommend trying the pork belly for that was simply delicious.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
No doubt. Great value, great taste. What’s not to like?
