The Good
The pancakes overall were pretty much akin to French crepes. They were thin, served folded and were made fresh.
Both pancakes were cooked well with a slight crunch on the outer rim. Both flavour and texture of the pancakes were spot on, not being overly sweet and weren’t too dense nor airy. Just right!
The berries were very fresh and aromatic, with strong flavours that complemented the Nutella well. Not sure if I would’ve preferred straight Nutella though…
The Mediocre
The Syrup & Butter pancakes were originally served with insufficient amount of syrup, given the name of the dish. Thankfully this was remedied when they gave me a whole lot more upon asking!
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Pretty great place for ‘pancakes’, if you can call them that. The owner is friendly and the cafe has a great vibe.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Most definitely! Tis’ a deliciously sweet feed at a decent price.
