Food
- Dry Fried Green Beans Tossed with Minced Pork with Rice
- Oilless Spicy Fish with Rice
The Good
The fish was simply delicious. Flavoured with strong, hot chili, the fish was soft, tender and flavourful. The bean sprouts and enoki mushrooms were plentiful as were the fish. The broth was well flavoured and of course extremely spicy. An excellent dish that was well suited for a cold winter day.
The beans were pan fried to perfection. It was soft with a slight crunch and sits on the fine line of undercooking and being too mushy. The minced meat carried strong bold flavours of soy and chili that permeated throughout, and made this dish go extremely well with rice.
The Mediocre
The portion size for the beans could’ve been a tad larger. I just couldn’t get enough of it!
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Overall a great experience given the delicious authentic food, the flawless cooking and low price. Both dishes were a standout in and of itself and ranks among the best I’ve had, Melbourne or internationally.
