The Good
Nothing was that great unfortunately.
The Mediocre
Mediocre is probably the best word to describe this bratwurst.
The bun was plain and untoasted.
The sausage itself had decent quality meat but lacked the unique flavour of a true bratwurst - tasted more like any old sausage to be honest.
The onions, while plentiful, were on the raw side and lacked caramelising.
The Bad
The disorganized state of both the kitchen and counter staff lead to an unnecessary long and chaotic wait.
The Verdict
Having had delicious sausages from Vienna just a few weeks ago, I had high hopes for this. Unfortunately this did not live up to my dreams of replicating the Viennese experience.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Nope. For the price, I would’ve much rather 4 regular sausage sizzles from outside Bunnings thank you very much as they taste essentially identical.
