- Cheesecake
The Good
The cheesecake itself was pretty spectacular. It was soft, gooey and moist without being mushy. Every bite was full of cheese aroma. The glazing was rather sweet, however the cheesecake itself remain uncontaminated and the cheesy goodness was still apparent.
The Mediocre
The base of the cheesecake was a tad lackluster. It was definitely much too soggy, perhaps having been sat under the cheesecake for too long. This destroyed the biscuit-like crunch and texture of how any signature cheesecake base should aspire to have.
The decorative chocolate was also nothing to get excited about and lacked depth in flavour. (Think Cadbury, but a tad less sweet.)
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Overall a decent cheesecake that was let down by a soggy base. The flavour balance was spot on and was generally pleasant, though not outstanding.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Maybe. I won’t be advsere to trying the other cakes, as I unfortunately had to share this time round… :(
