The Good
The Shahi Kebab was simply divine. Perfectly seasoned, juicy protein with slight charring, the succulent lamb mince was bursting with flavour and was incredibly soft. The chicken kebab was also quite pleasant with great aromas, although this was a tad tough given that it was breast meat. Complemented by a mountain of basmati rice, mixing in the meats with a tad of butter and made for a generous, flavourful meal.
The Ghalieh Mahi also didnt disappoint, which was cooked just right. The chunks of fish were exceedingly soft and tasted very fresh. The highlight though was the sauce, a mixture of spinach and other indistinguishable herbs and spices that made for a highly aromatic and flavourful experience. The slightly tangy sauce went incredibly well with the basmati rice.

The Verdict
Overall a delicious and authentic Persian meal. Portion sizes were more than generous and the food was incredibly tasty.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Most definitely. This is my third visit here and it’s clear that while the food remained delicious and portion sizes generous, the management has definitely changed for the better.
