The Good
With an iron pressed logo on top and served in a classic tin container, the "Of Wolf and Man" burger not only looked the part but definitely tasted absolutely sensational as well. Within was a juicy beef patty cooked to medium, providing beautiful beef aroma. What undoubtedly stole the show though was the 48 hour fried chicken."
This Fried Chicken was absolutely phenomenal, and was unlike any other fried chicken I've ever had in a burger. Distinguishing it from other fried chicken was its hard, crunchy outer, that was nicely spiced and full of flavour. Enclosed within was some of the most flavourful and juicy chicken thigh meat I've had. I would've been a happy penguin with just this sensational Fried Chicken.
In addition to the protein, the burger was well complemented by the two slices of beautifully melted cheddar, as well as that divine house made aioli. All of this, and the result was a scrumptious burger that was unapologetically bold and saucey.
I also rather enjoyed their Triple Fried Chips. You know you're getting quality crisps when, with each chomp down, you are rewarded with a sharp, crunchy sensation. Contrasting the conventional chips that have a soft fluffy inner, these provided a hard, unforgiving crunch that was certainly no less enjoyable. Along with a plethora of sauces, house made vinegars and flavoured salts available, I was definitely able to tailor the flavour of these chips to my exact liking.

The Verdict
Skipping Girl Takeaway has been on my radar on a long time, and I'm glad to report that their burgers did not disappoint one bit.
With a rather traditional and homely feel in both their food and hospitality, they put an interesting yet unique twist to staples like Fried Chicken and Chips.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Definitely. Next time though, I'm going for a pure chook burger as I really can't say no to more of their Fried Chicken.
