The Good
The price and the speed of service was simply unbeatable. $7.50 for a huge box of food, all cooked fresh in front of you in less than 8 minutes must be a Guinness world record of some sort!
The Mediocre
The Satay Chicken didn't really resemble satay sadly. Despite being slightly spicy and exhibiting the right colours, the it tasted more like a diluted curry with a bit of chilli. The chicken was rather bland, but the mixed vegetables were fresh and crunchy.
The BBQ Pork Omelette was probably just as mediocre. While the egg was fried rather nicely with plenty of 'wok hei', the pork itself was rather tough and chewy, also lacking in flavour. I think a slightly sweet soy sauce would've helped tremendously.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
At this price point, the food is expectedly unspectacular. It's good for a super quick, super cheap feed but not much else. Don't come here with high expectations and you wot leave unhappy!
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Sure, but only if I were under the same time pressure as this visit.
