The Good

The tart itself was undeniably delicious. A crunchy and buttery outer crust, akin to a shortbread biscuit, held together soft and gooey cheese inner. Biting into the tart, you are rewarded with runny cheese that was exceptionally rich and flavourful, much like cream cheese. Contrasted with the biscuity crust, this cheese tart was very palatable and well balanced.

The Mediocre

Despite being advertised as Hokkaido, the milk used within certainly wasn't. It definitely lacked the distinct taste and aroma of Hokkaido milk, which was a tad disappointing given the name.

The Bad

Nothing.

The Verdict

It was overall quite a delicious little snack, though would've been made better if it was served warm. However, given the name "Hokkaido", the lack of Hokkaido milk actually used seems highly deceiving, regardless of the intentions of the store.

At $3.90 a pop for a tiny little tart, it honestly seems a bit rich.

Would Penguin Eat Again?

Sure. The tarts in and of itself, were absolutely delicious. I just hope I can get a warm one next time!
