The Good
We started off with the Beef MILF, which, while not exactly big in size, it definitely packed a punch in flavour. Sandwiched between the lightly toasted brioche buns was a thin and crispy beef patty. With a slice of nicely melted cheddar, this allowed the beef patty to be moulded together with a thin cut of bacon. The taco and mammy’s sauce were applied liberally, providing a spicy and creamy sensation to the burger. Along with the generous amount of jalapenos within, this was one hot and appetising burger.
We also enjoyed the simple yet delicious Feckin Fish Burger. Wrapping the thick fillet of Rockling, the light and airy batter was fried to a perfect golden brown. Without being overly oily, the batter provided a great crunch. While the cheddar cheese could’ve been more melted within this burger, Mammy’s tartar sauce was plentiful though not overpowering, which held the burger together rather well.
The Chips didn’t disappoint either. These were some old-school style chips, hand cut and fried to a light golden brown. While they were slightly wrinkly, they didn’t fail to provide a good crunch. Loading up the chips, we opted for the Mammy’s House rendition, which saw the chips topped with a generous amount of bacon, cheese, house sauce and even more cheese. The bacon cubes were nicely charred, though we definitely would’ve preferred bigger chunks of thick cut bacon to provide a greater crunch and diversity in texture.

The Verdict
While nothing was actually that amazing nor spectacular, the execution of the burgers were on point. Mammy’s Boy definitely dished up some tasty burgers and delicious sides to go along with them.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
For a quick snack, and I say snack because the burgers honestly weren’t very big, I’d definitely be back for some more.
However, Burgerlove, just a stonethrow’s away from Mammy’s Boy, still gets my top pick in the area.
