The Good
The Nutella Ice Coffee was rather exceptional. With a strong yet not overpowering hazelnut flavour permeating throughout, the Nutella within was well complemented by aromatic coffee. While not overly creamy nor rich, the drink provided just the right amount of sweetness to counterbalance the bitterness of the dark coffee. An excellent drink to start the day.
The Almond Croissant was a crowd favourite and it’s not hard to understand why. Coated with an abundance of thin, crunchy and wholesome almond slices, the outer was baked to a nice crisp that provided a beautiful crunch sensation with every bite. The slight caramelisation of the sugary outer added an additional stickiness and crunch, which was perfectly juxtaposed by the buttery and exceedingly flakey croissant.
The Tim Tam Filled Croissant was what we came here for an it absolutely didn’t disappoint. Fresh out of the oven, these puppies were piping hot and exceedingly fresh. The outer was smothered in a generous coating of Nutella and sprinkled with Peanut M&Ms. Chomping down on the pastry, you are rewarded with a buttery and airy croissant that surrounds a whole chocolate Tim Tam. The crunch of the Tim Tam and M&Ms, contrasted by the softness of the pastry and juxtaposed by the richness of the Nutella, created the perfect balance in flavours and textures. Flawless.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
