The Good
The House Laksa Special was simply delicious. Loaded with spices, the soup was incredibly bold and flavourful, with an additional hot spicy kick from the sambal. The chicken within was plentiful and tender, as were the soft and beautifully cooked chunks of eggplant. The squares of spongey tofu were perfect for soaking up the soup, and with the generous and soft noodles, this laksa was highly enjoyable and very authentic.
We also enjoyed the Pork Hock Noodles. With two big pork hocks braised to the perfect softness, the bowl was served piping hot and loaded with crispy noodles. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy, and was well complemented by the flavourful pork-based soup.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
The Laksa here was definitely a real winner and ranks amongst the best in Melbourne. While the other items were notably less spectacular, they were undoubtedly still enjoyable regardless.
