- Spicy Stewed Beef Noodles
The Good
The slow braised beef was absolutely delicious. Exceptionally tender, the protein carried a bold beef aroma while also inheriting flavours from the spicy broth. With not so much as a hint of coarseness or dryness, the meat was plentiful and cooked to perfection.
The noodles were also well cooked and silky smooth, which was accompanied by a good variety of vegetables, all of which carried a strong spicy kick from the broth itself.
The Mediocre
Despite the huge bowl, the servings of noodles and veg seemed to be rather thin, and given the cheap nature of these staples, they could’ve been a lot more generous with this.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
It was overall a pleasant though unspectacular meal. The flavours were enjoyable, though the small-ish portion size failed to satisfy. The headline price may not be expensive, but this doesn’t necessarily translate to good value for money.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
