The Good
The Poached Sliced Pork and Vegetables in Chilli Oil was rather enjoyable. Despite its bright red appearance, the dish wasn’t overly spicy and was definitely more fragrant than we expected. The pork within was fresh, with plenty of flavour and exceptionally tender. Sitting at the bottom were some bean sprouts and cabbage that offered up a slight crunch. All served with a generous portion of rice, this dish certainly satisfied our tastebuds.
We also enjoyed Fried Pork Slices with Black Fungus. While admittedly lighter on flavour than the chilli dish, the pork here was once again tender and tasty. This was well complemented by a generous helping of lightly stir fryed black fungus, which was fragrant, soft without being mushy. Accompanied by a giant bed of rice, this was a big plateful that’s bound to satiate your hunger.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
It was overall an enjoyable though unmemorable meal. The generous portions were definitely a plus, as was the fast-paced and efficient service. However, definitely don’t come here expecting smiles or greetings from the wait staff.
It’s good for a quick, affordable lunch, but definitely don’t expect too much more.
