The Good
After enquiringly whether their Lasagne was made in house, and thank the lord the reply to that was a resounding “of course”, we proceeded to give it a go. The lasagne came out piping hot. Topping the lasagne was a generous helping of Bolognese, it’s meaty and herby goodness was well mixed with a rich and fragrant tomato base. The Tiramisu was something extraordinary. Freshly made just for us, the beautifully presented dessert seriously couldn’t get much better than this. The upper layer was silly smooth and creamy, with a hint of lightness and dusted with plenty of cocoa. Digging down we found the biscuits beautifully soaked in such an aromatic espresso, offering just the right spongy texture and heavenly softness, it’s slight bitterness went beautifully with the sweet and creamy upper. Paired with a coffee, this was an excellent afternoon treat to doubt.

An unassuming little eatery on the quieter end of Chapel Street, Ciao Ciao Italiano surprised in more ways that one.
The beautifully home made pastas and desserts were authentic and holds true to their Italian heritage. Coupled with such a friendly and hospitable owner, you know you’ve got yourself a winning combination!
