The Good
The Spinach and Feta Quiche was simply delicious. Served warm, the outer crust was flakey and suitably buttery. Within, the flavours of fresh spinach and tomatoes were forward and sensational, well matched with the creamy egg stuffing that was silky smooth and almost spongy. Every mouthful was just pure joy.
The Almond Croissant was undoubtedly one of the best we’ve ever come across. It’s incredibly flakey and brittle outer fell apart with ease, making way for an inner generously filled with a beautifully sweet almond paste. With a sensational crunch thanks to the crisp almond flakes and brittle outer, all juxtaposed by the soft and fluffy inner, this was definitely one to remember for along time coming.
We also enjoyed the Mille Feuille. The intricate layers were simply stunning, and the two layers of puff pastry were incredibly delicate and offers a flakey crumble with each bite. Within sandwiched a decadent cream and berries filling, well balanced in sweetness and had just the right amount of richness.
The Ham and Cheese Wrap certainly did not disappoint. The lightly toasted wrap held an inner generously layers with plenty of tasty, quality ham offering plenty of flavour, accompanied by light slices of melted cheese. The fresh cuts of cucumber, lettuce and tomato offered up a refreshing crunch with each bite. A light yet very filling option.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Having walked past this bakery at least a couple dozen times, we are so glad to have finally discovered Provence Artisan Bakers.
It’s no surprise we found ourselves in this cozy French inspired cafe that’s bustling with locals on a Sunday afternoon. Their extensive range of baked goods taste every bit as good as they look, and we’re just amazed there’s no line out the door. Yet.
