The Good
It was off to a good start with the “Swing” Burger. Within be charcoal buns sat a thick, juicy beef patty that was very flavoursome and juicy. This was topped with a generous helping of delicious, melted brie cheese adding a nice creaminess. Coupled with the sweetness of caramelised onions and a hint of bitterness of fresh rocket leaves, this made for a tasty and well balanced burger.
The “Monkey Ring” Burger didn’t disappoint either. The fried was most definitely the highlight, it’s batter fried to a nice golden brown and offered to a satisfying crunchy sensation. Within, the protein was incredibly tender and juicy, well marinated with plenty of flavour. The melted cheddar was plentiful, though the flavour was more muted than expected.
The Chargrilled Corn was also tasty, the lightly charred outer providing excellent flavour and well accompanied by the juicy goodness of the crunchy corn kernels. The Sirarcha Mayo though was in abundance and definitely felt a bit too much at times.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
With a small yet well executed menu, Burground offers up some rather creative combination of ingredients to create a tasty range of burgers.
It’s evident that this newly opened burger joint has utilised great quality ingredients across the board, though our only gripe would be the size of the burgers, which we simply couldn’t get enough of.
