The Good
It was off to an amazing start with the Hummus and Woodfired Flat Bread. The hummus was just divine, so rich and creamy with an earthy sensation. We mopped it up with the freshly baked woodfired flat bread that was both soft and fluffy on the outer, yet crisp and thin in the middle. Just a simple yet absolutely fantastic mezze.
Next was the Salmon Sashimi. Incredibly fresh, the thinly sliced pieces of salmon were beautifully laid out within the bowl. The citrus curing ensured plenty of fruity goodness, and the pepper added a subtle hint of spice. The beautiful sweetness coupled with the amazing freshness of the fish was just stunning.
The BBQ King Prawns were another standout. The giant prawns were grilled to perfection. The lightly charred outer offered up an unbeatable aroma, making way for such fresh, crunchy protein within. This was accompanied by an excellent zhoug dressing that was herby and fragrant, as well as some cucumber noodles and yoghurt, a home made tzaziki of sorts.
The most impressive dish of our banquet must be the Whole Grilled Baby Barramundi. It was simply an awesome sight as the giant platter arrived at our table. The fish itself, was grilled to perfection. It’s thin skin was grilled to an amazing crisp. Within, the protein was so incredibly tender and moist, offering up a tinge of firmness and just the most amazing fresh fish sensation. Served with an olive oil dressing and plenty of fresh herbs, squeezing on a bit of lemon juice made this an absolutely phenomenal dish!
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
