The Good
We were off to a stunning start with the Antipasto Platter. Generously topped with a beautiful array of cold cuts and cheeses. The grilled capsicum was absolutely delicious, lightly charred with a beautiful sweetness. This was nicely accompanied by the spicy, crisp chorizo as well as the light yet creamy boccocini that was rubbed with a divine pesto dressing. Along with delicate slices of prosciutto and sundries tomatoes, what a way to start an Italian feast!
We moved on to mains with the Chicken Pesto Gnocchi. Made in house, the gnocchi were perfectly fluffy and light without any hint of gooey softness. The little parcels were coated in the most amazing pesto sauce that was incredibly fragrant and creamy. The abundance of the well-spiced sauce, combined with shaved Parmesan, created just the most appetising flavours!
We concluded with the Prosciutto Pizza. Generously loaded with an abundance of soft, tender prosciutto, the pizza was a sight to behold. Fresh out of the oven, the thin, crisp based emerged into a fluffy yet spongy crust that was lightly charred. With a rich, fragrant tomato sauce as base and topped with melted boccocini as well as fresh leaves of spinach, the flavours perfectly accompanied the savoury, meaty sensation of the prosciutto.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
This humble little takeaway pizza joint dished up an utterly enjoyable meal from start to finish.
The generous, fresh ingredients, coupled with an Italian head chef and owner at the helm, you just know you’re gonna be fed like nonna had done!
