The Good
The Salsiccia Pizza was absolutely delicious. The base was aromatic, aptly thin and delicate without being soggy or sloppy. On top sat a rich, fragrant tomato base that was well complemented by generous chunks of bouncy, flavourful Italian sausage and a bold fresh broccoli cream. The abundance of quality, melted mozzarella provided a cheesy and creamy experience that boded rather well with the other fresh ingredients. Towards the edge, we found the crust exceptionally fluffy and spongy, with just the right amount of char to offer up a perfect crisp. Simply flawless.
The Speck Pizza didn’t disappoint either. The once again divine base and crust were of course the highlight of this pizza. The toppings though, were arguably just as delicious. With plenty of tender and flavourful slices of prosciutto, the pizza was made even tastier thanks to the fresh, plump mushrooms that were quite literally bursting with juiciness. Rounding it off with a drizzle of chilli oil only enhanced the amazing flavours, and made for one of the best pizzas we’ve come across in Melbourne.

DOC never fails to surprise, and we are rather glad to have returned for such an amazing pizzas after such a long time.
The authenticity, both in the food and the warm service, made us reminisce of carefree days holidaying in Italy, and this certainly made the experience not only enjoyable, but memorable as well.

These authentic, Neapolitan pizzas were just top notch, and there’s no doubt we will be back for more!
