The Good
We were off to a tasty start with the Arancini. A traditional comfort food, these bolognese rice balls were lightly crumbed and fried to a perfect golden brown. The thin and crisp exterior was garnished with shaved parmesan, which along with the fragrant tomato sauce, made it incredibly appetising.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Panini. Sandwiched between the lightly toasted Ciabatta, the fresh, hearty ingredients within were incredibly flavourful and tasty.
Starting off with the Porchetta, the juicy roasted cuts of pork belly were tender and succulent, the softer bits beautifully contrasted by the excellent crunch of the crackling. The bold, porky flavour was perfectly accompanied by the fruity sweetness of the quince aioli.
The Truffled Mushroom Panini featured full and wholesome slices of juicy Portobello mushrooms. The truffle aioli smeared on the bread, along with the fragrant mushroom made for an incredibly irresistible aroma. Served with light parmesan and fresh rocket leaves, this vegetarian option definitely satisfied in more ways than one.
The Garlic and Chilli Prawns also impressed. The the 5 sizeable prawns were clearly fresh and of top quality. Lightly sauteed in a buttery garlic and chilli sauce really brought out the freshness of the protein. The sauce was rich and creamy, and offered up incredible spice and heat that’s certainly not for the faint hearted. Served with a bit of bread on the side, this was perfect to soak up the beautiful sauce.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
