The Good

We were off to a tasty start with the Crispy Squid and Chayote. The salad was stunningly presented, the rainbow super salad was vibrant and fresh, offering an exceptional and refreshing crunch. The flash fried, lightly battered squid on top were plentiful and nicely cooked, with a slight crisp outer and a tender texture and a hint of garlic seasoning. Scattered throughout were chunks of pineapple that offered up juicy, meaty spouts of sweetness. This was all tired together by a delightful ginger & lime dressing that added freshness and zest. Delicious.

The Goat Curry most definitely did not disappoint. The amazing aroma of the curry was exceptionally appetising. Within, the rich, creamy curry sauce was well spiced without being overly spicy, generously coating each chunk of perfectly cooked goat. Effortlessly falling off the bone, the protein was very tender and juicy. The flavourful combination was nicely paired with rice’n’peas, as well as a creamy slaw with a lovely hint of coconut.

Our favourite was no doubt the Jerk Chicken. Marinated overnight and finished on a hot BBQ, the chicken was cooked to absolute perfection. The outer skin was charred just so, offering a good crispness and a hint of bitterness from the charring, while the inner was moist and most succulent. The tamarind BBQ sauce provided a lovely balance of sweet, tangy and spicy creating a complex flavour alongside the umami of the chicken. Definitely one of the most delicious grilled chickens we’ve come across.

The Mediocre

Nothing.
