The Good

We enjoyed the Amoy Sate Soup with Chicken Wonton and Noodles. The broth was light, yet still carried good flavour. With a hint of garlic and chilli, and a nice fragrance, the slightly spicy broth was very appetising and provided much of the flavours for then noodle soup. The wontons were small though plentiful, wrapped with thin silky skin and filled with a slightly mushy minced inner that unfortunately didn’t offer much in terms of flavour. The noodles were cooked just right, soft without being soggy with a smooth texture.

The Mediocre

The Chicken Soup broth was in comparison more lackluster. The soup was clear and lacked punchy flavours, and made the whole bowl rather bland in comparison.

The Bad

The amount of noodles in each bowl was miniscule. We would’ve traded a few wontons for more than a handful of noodles.

The Verdict

A good but unremarkable bowl of Wonton noodle soup, which was let down by the tiny portion sizes. Don’t come hungry, or you will also leave hungry.

Would Penguin Eat Again?

Maybe, but definitely not worth travelling for.
