The Good
We thoroughly enjoyed The Hustler. The basis of every good hot dog is founded in it’s bun and sausage, and Hot Dog Hustle has definitely nailed the bun. The soft, almost buttery bun was up a pillowy and comforting vehicle that perfectly held together the hot dog and it’s generous toppings.
With a distinctly Japanese influence, the hot dog was topped with a generous helping of caramelized onions, kewpie and a creamy hustle mayo.
Offering a rich and creamy sensation, we found the fried shallots and nori flakes added a nice crisp and crunchy texture which perfectly juxtaposed the softer bits of the hot dog.
The Bulgogi Cheesesteak certainly did not disappoint either. This hefty hot dog was loaded with layers upon layers of Bulgogi Steak, with the Bulgogi marinade offering a lovely hint of sweetness throughout that was nicely accompanied by three melted cheeses. This decadence was made even tastier thanks to the caramelized onions and grilled capsicum. On top sat scattered a sprinkle of spring onion creating a welcoming freshness and crunch.

The Verdict
Hot Dog Hustle creatively combines a traditional American classic with bold Asian inspirations. The results most certainly did not disappoint, with bold, appetising flavours and great textural diversity in each bite. Needless to say, we enjoyed every bite of our Hot Dogs!
