The Good

It was a great start to our Greek feast with the Trio of Dips. We were presenting with plenty of warm, toasted pita served with tzatziki, taramasalata, and eggplant dips. The tzatziki was light and refreshing, while the Hummus carried a rich, earthy and nutty sensation. The crowd favourite was no doubt the creamy and chunky eggplant dip, which offered up a thick and flavourful bite.

Next, we dug into the Yiros Plate which was an astounding sight to behold. Filled to the brim, the plate was served with both Lamb and Chicken. The protein was beautifully charred and nicely cooked, offering a juicy and flavourful experience with just a tad of crisp outer from the charring on the grill. This was served with plenty of chips as well as a generous helping of warm pita bread that soaked up the tzatziki and beautiful meat juices. Alongside was a fresh and crispy Greek salad that tied it altogether.

The Calamari certainly didn’t disappoint either. The lightly battered and flash fried calamari had a thin layer of crumbing that exhibited a pale golden colour. Enclosed within, the calamari itself was exceptionally tender and offered up a light, bouncy feedback. The freshness was evident in every bite and was certainly some of the best calamari we’ve come across. The pairings were not dissimilar to the Yiros Plate, and all ingredients were tasty and plentiful.

We also enjoyed the Grilled Halloumi and Loukaniko. The thick slice of halloumi was grilled to perfection, its golden outer bubbling away while being served ensured that the melted cheese was both soft and stretchy. It offered a bold, salty flavour with a light milky sensation. Meanwhile, the Loukaniko, Greek Sausage, was thick and juicy. Offering equally bold flavours, we found the sausage best paired with plain pita.

The Mediocre

Nothing.

The Bad

Nothing.
