The Good
Barryl’s Dream (Chicken Sandwich) was the standout of the meal, specifically regarding the texture. The chicken protein was crunchy, juicy, and tender, measuring at least double the thickness of the beef patty found in the other burger, though it didn’t pack much actual flavor.
The Fries were a mixed bag. While they were definitely crunchy, there was no doubt they had been re-fried, resulting in a texture that was hard rather than freshly crisp.
The bundle also offers much better bang for your buck than the beef options. At $15, the deal includes the sandwich, a snack size portion of fries, and a drink can, making it a solid lunch option price-wise.
Service was a highlight of the experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, which was particularly nice for a casual fast-food joint.
The Mediocre

The Bad
The Boss Burger was absolutely tiny, resembling a kid’s size burger more than a main meal. We actually had to check the menu again when it arrived to ensure we hadn’t ordered a slider by mistake. It is likely even smaller than a McDonald’s cheeseburger. Size aside, the taste was a major letdown. The beef was thin, overcooked, and possessed a weird aftertaste that made it difficult to enjoy. At $16.50 for such a minuscule, disappointing burger, the value proposition here is non-existent.
The Verdict
Burger Boss Co is a tale of two burgers. If you find yourself here, steer well clear of the beef options; paying over $16 for a burger smaller and less tasty than a fast-food chain cheeseburger is a hard pill to swallow. However, the chicken options offer some redemption. Barryl’s Dream is a decent value lunch pack with a well-cooked, substantial piece of chicken, even if the fries feel like an afterthought. Come for the friendly service and the chicken, but The Boss is definitely not in charge here.
