- Three Little Piggies Wraps
- Savage Beast Focaccia
The Good
The muffin was simply divine. Firstly, it was served warm. The slightly crusty and crunchy outer wrapped a soft and moist and fluffly muffin, with bits of choc-chip that weren’t overly sweet nor overpowering. This, compounded with smooth cream cheese on top and the slight sourness of the strawberries made for a perfect combination of flavours and textures. The melty chocolate-egg on top was a nice touch and definitely finished off the muffin well.
The focaccia was extremely fresh and toasted just right. The chicken within was seasoned nicely and bounded well with the melted cheddar. Caremalised onion and the sun-dried tomatoes complemented the flavours well and the bacon just gave it that extra kick. Nice!
The Mediocre
The wrap was not in any way bad, but nothing in it was really a stand-out for me as compared to the above two dishes. The ingredients were again very fresh, and the twice-cooked pork belly was overall quite nice however there were some dry and chewey bits to be had. Flavours once again went well together.
The Bad
The chips were quite disappointing however. Nothing at all remarkable and was just your stock-standard, unseasoned, fried thick-cut chips.
The Verdict
A must-visit for just the mufffin if not for anything else. Other items on the menu are also unlikely to disappoint (apart from the chips of course…)
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Yes. Delicious food, great staff. What’s not to like?
