The Good
The donut was soft and airy, providing a very light and spongy texture. The coat of sugar in the outer was just the right amount and complemented the dough quite well.
The Mediocre
The cheesecake cream was a tad underwhelming. While it was overall very nice, there wasn’t much flavour of cheese within. It was pretty much just a buttery cream, which wasn’t particularly aromatic
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
I would say this is a passable doughnut given its description. If it were advertised as a plain cream donut, then I would be a much happier penguin.
It was such a letdown to find a general absence of cheesecake or carrot cake flavour within the whole doughnut.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Maybe. It was nothing too exciting though, and honestly a tad underwhelming given the headline of the item…
