The Good

The burgers here were outrageous in every way. Opting for The Tower, I was highly doubting myself if I could even finish such a monster of a burger, but I managed and enjoyed every single bite. Within were protein originating from various animals, all tasting father spectacular in and of itself. The pulled pork was soft and succulent, nicely marinated with a smokey and sweet barbecue sauce.

The highlight though was the beef patty, which was cooked to a perfect medium and exhibited some redness within. Juicy and bursting with beefy aroma, this was made even better with the slight charting on the outer of the patty. Combined with an abundance of drippy stringy cheese, and fatty strips of maple bacon that's fried to a perfect crisp, this burger was barely held together by two lightly toasted, buttery brioche buns. The jalapeƱos and mustard provided much of a kick and added an extra depth in flavour.

The Chilli Fries also didn't disappoint. Exceptionally crunchy and with an airy inner, they were dusted with a generous amount of chilli flakes and drenched in cheese sauce. A cheesy and spicy combination along with perfectly fried potatoes. It really doesn't get better.

No visit to Demazzi is complete without their famous milkshakes, and the shakes are seriously a meal in itself. Perhaps just as outrageous as their burgers, each freakshake is topped with your choice of Ice Creams, Gaytimes, Maxibons and other confectionary.

The Maxibon shake was a special, off-menu order, and of course was topped with a whole Maxibon. Loaded with whipped cream, biscuit crumbs and chocolate sauce, it was a while before we were able to gain access to the shake itself. With a rich creamy flavour and some cookie crumbs within, the shake tasted very much similar to a cookies and cream ice cream.

We also enjoyed the Golden Gaytime shake. With a whole Gaytime embedded upside down into a mountain of whipped cream, this already outrageous shake was garnished with a Freddo Frog and an abundance of caramel sauce. With peanut and chocolate crumbs surrounding the glass, this shake was definitely a sweetness overload, with all the favourite flavours you get from a traditional Gaytime.

As part of the birthday celebration of @real_forking_diet, we were offered Donuts, topped with a candle naturally. Filled with jam and peanut butter, the golden brown, crunchy outer enclosed an exceptionally soft and spongy inner. The jam was plentiful as was the peanut butter, providing a beautiful combination of sweet and savoury. Being the first time ever trying peanut butter in a donut, I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed this interesting mix of flavours.

The Mediocre

While the donuts were flawless in every way, the Spanish Churros were disappointing. Over-fried and dense, these churros failed to the much sought-after crunch and sponginess of a perfectly fried churro. The Peanut Butter Ganache though, saved the day and the accompanying sauces were sensational in and of itself.

The Bad

Nothing.

The Verdict

This visit was definitely over the top in every way, and I had an awesome time thanks to the outrageous food, the ever friendly and attentive wait staff, and of course my dining companions and food bloggers @real_forking_diet and @feedblogspot.

It was also an eye opening experience, having tried peanut butter in burgers, donuts and even bacon, I absolutely love the diversity in flavours that it brings and will definitely apply it to even more food to come.

While the burgers may seem pricey here, you definitely do get great value for money as they are absolutely loaded with quality ingredients, creating some of the tastiest burgers I've ever had.

Would Penguin Eat Again?

Absolutely. I'd definitely be back for some more of those crazy burgers and outrageous freakshakes. And of course, I'm also keen to give those stunning-looking ribs a try too!
