The Good
The Fried Calamari was simple yet delicious. Lightly seasoned, the outer was crispy and provided a satisfying crunch with each bite. The squid itself was fresh, though a tad overcooked which led to a slight chewiness throughout.
The Mediocre
The Fried Drumstick fell short of expectations on this occasion. The outer skin wasn’t quite crispy, perhaps due to having been sitting under heat lamps for too long. Despite this, the fat was nicely rendered down and the batter was well seasoned. The chicken protein was tender, though wasn’t quite as flavourful as we hoped.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Rainbow Chicken used to be a guilty pleasure of ours, and this visit was no exception. While standards seem to have slipped a little with execution slightly off, it was certainly enjoyable nonetheless.
Would Penguin Eat Again?
Sure. Fried Calamari always hits the spot!
