The Good
The Sriracha Grilled Salmon was absolutely sensational. With the skin cooked to a perfect crisp, the salmon was coated in a stunning orange colour, and the sriracha made for an incredibly flavoursome experience that worked rather well with the fish and left just a tingle of spiciness in your mouth. Sat underneath were the zucchini noodles, incredibly tasty and refreshing, which was well coupled with occasional bits of avocado and a light yet fragrant herb dressing.
The Okonomiyaki certainly didn’t disappoint either. The stack of Japanese pancakes were lightly fried to perfection. With a beautiful my golden, crisp outer, within we found a textured and flavoursome mixture of cabbage, kale and carrots. Lightly accompanied by kewpie mayo and sweet okonomiyaki sauce, this dish certainly brought back memories of Japan. The crisp fried bacon, as well as the exceptionally runny yolk from the poached egg, were quite literally the cherry on top and made this dish pop.
We concluded on a sweet note with the gorgeous Nutella Panna Cotta. The Panna Cotta itself was nothing short of incredible. Exceptionally rich, the smooth, creamy mixture of Nutella was evident in every bite and kept you wanting for more. This was well accompanied by chunks of peanut-butter-coated banana, offering up a beautiful balance of sweet and slight savoury and nutty sensation throughout. Contrasting the softer components of the dish were of course the honey job crumbs, while the fresh berries provided a balancing tartness.

Penta has been on our radar for a long time coming, and we are definitely glad to report that this visit didn’t disappoint one bit.
Of course, their headline dish, the Nutella Panna Cotta, certainly lived up to all of our expectations and more. The rest, well let’s just say nothing we left with the plates squeaky clean.
