The Good
The Hartwell Brunch was simply delicious. The highlight of this dish was undoubtedly the mixture of quinoa, kale, and crispy green beans. The variation in textures was simply delightful and was well accompanied by the occasional dollop of house made ricotta adding a beautiful creaminess to the dish. With the red pepper hummus offering up sweetness and a beautifully poached egg, this dish certainly excited our tastebuds!
The Scotch Pancakes were a stunning sight to behold. Topped with a generous helping of coffee mascarpone, the two-high stack of pancakes were thick and generously sized. The dense, thick batter ensured a hearty and spongy experience that perfectly soaked up the mascarpone. However we could’ve definitely done with more of a coffee hit in the mascarpone to round off the sweeter components like the delicious caramelised banana.
The Mediocre
We found the Caponata a tad underwhelming. The thought of a roasted Sicilian veggie mix certainly enticed our tastebuds, but the result was rather different. The roasted eggplant and zucchini mixture was surprisingly sour and tangy, flavours the we definitely weren’t expecting. While the sweetness of the red pepper hummus did help with the acidity, it didn’t quite manage to balance out the sour components.

The Verdict
Situated in the sleepy suburb of Hartwell, Enter Neighbour proves to be a popular cafe with the locals. Despite having a menu that’s not overly inventive, the photogenic dishes are bound to keep you awestruck and impress your mates. With a tad of fine tuning, we recon this can really elevate Enter Neighbour to a food destination.
