The Good

The Salmon & the Rye certainly impressed. Topped with beautiful chunks of pan seared salmon that were tender and crisp, underneath sat two sizeable slices of thick, dense rye bread. The rye were made even more irresistible thanks to the generous spread of delightful cream cheese and fragrant, tangy pesto. Paired with bits of dill and a runny poached egg, this was an unbeatable combination that kept begging for one more bite.

We also enjoyed the Californian Bowl. The once again tasty flaked salmon stood front and centre. Underneath were fresh slices of avocado, coupled with crisp kale, crunchy red cabbage. With a tangy mustard sauce holding it altogether, rest assured this was no ordinary salad to look down upon.

We rounded off our meal on a sweet note with the Oreo Paco Pancake. Fabulously presented in the shape of a taco, the two sides of the pancake stood high and tall. Within filled a beautiful Oreo infused cookies and cream offering up an excitable sweetness. This was served alongside crunchy biscuit crumbs juxtaposing the softness of the fluffy pancakes, as well as a lovely salted caramel sauce that rounded off the sweetness.

The Mediocre

Nothing.

The Bad

Nothing.

The Verdict

St Rose offers up a rather creative brunch option that will ensure each bite is as memorable as the next.

We found the dishes generally well executed, and definitely lived up to their gorgeous presentation.
