The Good
It was off to a great start with the Southern Fried Chicken Burger. Sandwiched between the fluffy charcoal bums was a giant piece of fried chicken taking centre stage. The chicken was done to absolute perfection, the crumbly and crunchy outer enclose an exceptionally tender and succulent inner. This was nicely accompanied by fresh crisp leaves of lettuce and juicy tomatoes, as well as an extra crispy piece of bacon.
The Good Morning Bowl was absolutely stunning. Topped with a vibrant variety of fresh fruits, the gorgeously presented bowl tasted every bit as delicious as it looked. The toasted granola within was plentiful and crunchy, well paired with a good helping of mixed berries, yoghurt as well as toasted coconut. Such a delicious and refreshing option!
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Unfortunately Mr Benedict failed to impress on this occasion. The slow cooked pulled pork was sinfully sweet and more importantly disappointingly dry. The sweetness failed to work with the rich hollandaise sauce, and coupled with stale slices of sourdough, this was easily the most disappointing part of our meal, and hopefully is just a once-off!
The Verdict
As a newly launched cafe, G Plus Coffee is well positioned to be a locals favourite thanks to the generous portions.
With just a few kinks to iron out, we are confident that G Plus Coffee will only get better with age!
