The Good
We were immediately impressed by the absolutely stunning Veggie Stack. With vibrantly coloured ingredients piled high on top of one another and forming a tall, gigantic stack, this was a sight to behold. Sitting under the two perfectly poached eggs were fresh sliced avocado, delicious grilled halloumi, lightly sautéed spinach and mushrooms, as well as an amazing Beetroot relish.
The combination of the flavours from each component was simply incredible, offering a sweet, earthy, savoury and refreshing sensation all in one mouthful. All served on an amazing slice of thick cut, crisp sourdough, and surrounded by a fragrant almond sesame dukkah and a creamy, earthy hummus, this was easily the best vegetarian dish we’ve ever come across to date!
The Buddha Bowl was arguably just as delicious. The star that stole the show was easily the home made veggie croquettes. The lightly crumbed outer made for a light, flakey inner made from chickpea that simply crumbled away in your mouth. Alongside sat a variety of delicious, fresh components including juicy garlic thyme mushrooms, crisp baked potatoes, crunchy broccolini, as well as pillowy soft grilled zucchini. All held together with a creamy pumpkin tahini dressing and warm brown rice, this was a vegan and gluten free dish that made absolutely no comprise.
We rounded off our meal on a sweet note with the Brioche French Toast. The three-high tower was topped off with a generous dollop of tangy like mascarpone. The challah bread made for an exceptionally buttery experience, though as a base for French Toast, turned out wasn’t quite as fluffy and eggy as we had hoped. Served with a sweet almond dukkah, sticky maple dressing and surrounded by a sheer abundance of fresh berries, this was certainly one memorable dish.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
