The Good
The Parmesan and Herb Crumbed Schnitzel Wrap didn’t disappoint. Wrapped tightly in a toasted multigrain wrap that was thin and soft, we found the schnitzel within simply irresistible. The crumbing was flavoursome and offered great crunch. Within, the chicken was tender and juicy, well complemented by the sweetness of caramelised onions as well as the fresh, crisp lettuce. All held together by melted cheddar and a delicious mustard aioli with a hint of tang, this was a delicious wrap!
We also enjoyed the Roasted Mushrooms. Topped with a perfectly poached eggs, the best bit of the dish was of course the mushroom themselves. Exceptionally juicy and rather meaty, the signature mushroom flavour was simply unbeatable. Served on two slices of thick, dense sourdough that perfectly soaked up the juices, and contrasted by pickled daikon, this must be a vego’s favourite!
We rounded off our meal on a sweet note with the Maple Ricotta Hotcakes. Stunningly presented, the tall, fluffy stacks were topped with a stunning vanilla cream and filled with a beautiful mango curd that offered a hint of fruity goodness. The Hotcakes were so incredibly fluffy and moist, it’s softness perfectly juxtaposed by the crunch of the coconut granola scattered throughout. The maple syrup offered up a satisfying sweetness, and made this undoubtedly one of our favourite Hotcakes. Ever.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Nestled in the sleepy suburb of Ivanhoe, it’s not a surprise why Pinkie is so popular with the locals. The stunning, perfectly executed all day brunch options not only look spectacular, but taste every bit as good as they look!
Our favourite? Those Hotcakes!
