The Good

The Skyscraper was definitely a sight to behold. Piled high, the 30cm tall burger was loaded to the brim, with crisp onion rings rounding off the top. Within the toasted, fluffy buns were plenty of crisp bacon, slices of avocado, and the usual suspects including tomato, rocket, swiss cheese, beetroot and pickles. The star of the show was of course the beef patty, which was very thick and rather meaty. Made of a coarse ground, the beef carried plenty of flavour, though some bits were a tad drier than expected. All offered in a more than generous helping and held together by a sweet tomato relish, this was one gigantic burger that didn’t disappoint.

We also enjoyed the Mushroom Salad. Piled high, the mountain of fresh greens were accompanied by soft, gooey grilled eggplant and plenty of pillowy pumpkin spices the mushrooms surrounding the dish were plump and juicy, lightly sautéed and carried beautiful flavours and bursts of juicy goodness. Served with a sweet mustard dressing that held all the components together,

We rounded off the meal on a sweet note thanks to the Waffles. Made fresh in house, the waffles were light and fluffy. The outer exhibited a hint of crispness, nicely accompanied by fresh, plump berries and tied together with a generous helping of maple and strawberry syrup. A sinfully sweet dessert for sure.

The Mediocre

Nothing.

The Bad

Nothing.
