The Good
We were off to a tasty start with the Classic Beef Burger. Opting to double up the beef and cheese was an excellent choice and made for a generous and hearty feed. The beef patties were thick and juicy, with a coarse ground that provided plenty of texture and flavour this was accompanied by beautifully melted cheese that was nicely paired with the creamy GTMB sauce. Combined with pickles and mustard, this was one tasty burger for sure.
The Breakfast Greens were arguably a much healthier option. The simple and elegant dish featured charred broccolini and asparagus that were crisp and fresh. This was served with poached egg and crispy black rice, all held together by a vibrant beetroot hummus. A light and refreshing lunch option perfect for summer.
Our meal concluded with the French Toast. The two slices of eggy french toast were fresh and spongy. The crisp, caramelised outer was nicely contrasted by the pillowy dulche de leche. Sitting on top was a caramelised banana adding an excellent sweetness, which was rounded out by slight tangy sensation of the lemon curd.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Situated in the sleepy suburban Bentleigh, Good Times Milk Bar serves up an excitable range of brunch options that are bound to satisfy. Despite being on the pricier end, the ingredients were of top quality, and their good execution over the board made for a satisfying feed.
