The Good
Coffees were excellent. The brew was smooth, creamy, and carried a strong caffeine kick that hit the spot perfectly.
Roast Mushroom & Pesto on Toast arrived as a massive portion that certainly doesn’t skimp on value. Mushrooms and tomatoes were served in very generous quantities, making for a hearty, veggie-forward base.
The Mediocre
KBBQ Pulled Beef Toastie was a bit of a letdown in the flavor department; while the beef was tender and juicy, it lacked the punchy “KBBQ” sauce and smoky profile we were expecting.
Poached Eggs on the pesto toast were over-poached, missing that signature golden ooze when sliced.
The Bad
KBBQ Pulled Beef Toastie suffered from a major technical error, with several sections of the sandwich being served noticeably cold in the middle.
The Verdict
Finders Keepers is a solid local haunt if you are looking for a high-quality coffee and a meal that will definitely leave you full. However, the kitchen fell short on the details today, most notably the cold spots in the toastie and the overcooked eggs.
Itโs a great spot for a casual catch-up, but thereโs room for improvement on the consistency of the hot food.
