The Gnocchi Project

- Lamb Shoulder Potato Gnocchi
The Good
The Lamb Shoulder Potato Gnocchi was a hearty and thoroughly comforting dish, with the house-made gnocchi offering a delightfully soft, fluffy and pillowy texture. We found the generous pieces of lamb shoulder beautifully tender, falling apart with little effort and providing plenty of substance alongside the delicate potato dumplings. The fragrant sauce looked suitably appetising, though its flavour was somewhat restrained and rather one-dimensional. A little more intensity or acidity would have helped bring the whole dish together. Nevertheless, those excellent gnocchi and succulent lamb were undeniably enjoyable.
The Mediocre
Nothing.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
The Gnocchi Project delivered a satisfying and generously portioned meal, with its wonderfully soft gnocchi demonstrating the kitchen’s strongest skill. The lamb was equally well executed, but the sauce lacked the depth needed to elevate the combination. It was a very pleasant, warming dish rather than a truly memorable one. We would gladly return for another comforting plate, particularly on a colder day.
