The Good

It was off to a brilliant start with the Pork Tacos. Served alongside an incredibly fresh Garden Salad, the soft, tortilla shells held together an inner filled with a generous slice of pork belly. Twice-cooked and finished in a fryer, we found the protein incredibly succulent and juicy, and enclosed in a crunchy, crispy outer with a beautiful seasoning, this

The Braised Bourbon Beef Short Ribs certainly impressed. The giant short rib was just slow cooked to perfection. Without so much as a hint of dryness, the protein simply fell away from the bone and melted away in your mouth with a bold and forward beef flavour. This was well complemented by a fragrant and tangy chimichurri sauce as well as some crispy, airy onion rings, both adding depth in flavour and texture. Simply a flawless dish!

We also enjoyed the Crispy Skin Atlantic Salmon. The beautiful presentation made way for a well-balanced and tasty dish. The skin of the fish was fried to a nice crisp, while the fish itself was fresh and flavourful, though a tad tougher in some spots. Served alongside was a light yet creamy parsnip puree, its silky smoothness perfectly contrasted by the crunch of pomegranate seeds.

Another highlight was the healthy though incredibly appetising Quinoa Salad. Served with a generous cut of slow braised lamb that was exceedingly tender and flavoursome, we found the healthier components of the salad equally tasty. The quinoa was soft and fluffy, well complemented by juicy chunks of beetroot and soft, gooey blocks of pumpkin. With plenty of goats cheese adding creaminess and depth in flavour,

We rounded off our meal with the special dessert for the day, an Espresso Panna Cotta. The gorgeous dessert was simply divine, silky smooth and incredibly creamy, with a pleasant coffee flavour permeating throughout. Well balanced in bitterness and sweetness, the suitably jiggly panna cotta was complemented by an assortment of berries that offered up a contrasting tartness, as well as a lovely passionfruit gel that provided crunch and a fragrant, citrus goodness.
