The Good
The Biscoffee Soufflé Pancake delivers proper soufflé texture — airy all the way through with no dense, gummy middle. This holds up for the full plate, which not all of them do. The biscoff crumble is well-measured, adding warmth and a sandy crunch without bulldozing the whole thing into sweetness overdrive — a restraint you don’t always get at dessert cafés.
The Mediocre
The bear latte art on the Masarap Ube Drink is legitimately impressive — clean, detailed, and the purple ube base holds it intact from kitchen to table. The ube flavour comes through clearly and the drink is very smooth. However, the sweetness goes a notch past comfortable; while fine for the first half of the cup, it starts to drag by the end.
The Bad
Nothing.
The Verdict
Come for the soufflé pancake — that’s the point of Kumo, and the biscoff version delivers on it. The ube bear latte is worth ordering for the art alone, though you’re signing up for something on the sweeter side, so share it if you’re not. There’s usually a queue snaking past the shopfront, but it moves quickly, and the pancake on the other side is worth the wait.
